STOP TB Sprint 10
Type: Change request · Module: Contact Tracing – Household Contact (HHC) Tracing, Contact Follow-Up (PRD 7.4.1) · PRD: TBMJA PRD v186, highlighted changes
Background / Context
When a household contact's card shows "Screened", the Contact Follow-Up form opens. STOP-505 (Closed, 2.3) reused the existing form as Date, Referred to [TU/DH/CHC/PHC], Submit. PRD v186 changes the referral options, adds Remarks and validation, and renames the DOTS status.
Problem Statement
Referral options no longer match where contacts are sent, and the follow-up status still uses "DOTS" instead of "ATT".
Current Behaviour
- Referral form: Date, Referred to (TU / DH / CHC / PHC), Submit.
- After referral, a "Follow up" button on the card opens Follow up date and Follow Up Status.
- Follow Up Status: No TPT Required / Recommend for TPT / Recommend for DOTS Treatment.
- No Remarks field.
Expected Behaviour / Requirement
Referral form
| Field | Type | Options / Values | Logic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Date | Date picker | — | Auto selection |
| Referred to | — | PHI, TB Camp | Mandatory. Single selection. |
| Remarks | Free text | — | Optional |
| Submit | Button | — | — |
Follow-up (after referral)
| Field | Options / Values | Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Follow Up Status | No TPT Required, Recommend for TPT, Recommend for ATT Treatment | Recommend for TPT → move record to "TPT Follow up". Recommend for ATT → move record to "Confirmed TB Cases". No TPT Required → submit and close. |
User Story
As a Counselling Officer or Surveillance Officer, I want to refer a screened household contact to a PHI or the TB Camp and record a remark, so that the referral reflects where the contact actually goes.
Acceptance Criteria
- Given a household contact with status "Screened", when the referral form opens, then Date is pre-filled automatically.
- Given the referral form, when "Referred to" opens, then it shows only PHI and TB Camp and allows one selection.
- Given "Referred to" is empty, when Submit is tapped, then submission is blocked with a validation message.
- Given Remarks is blank, when Submit is tapped with "Referred to" filled, then the form submits.
- Given a submitted referral, when the card reloads, then the "Follow up" button is shown.
- Given Follow Up Status, when opened, then it shows No TPT Required, Recommend for TPT, Recommend for ATT Treatment.
- Given Follow Up Status = Recommend for ATT Treatment, when submitted, then the record moves to Confirmed TB Cases.
- Given Follow Up Status = Recommend for TPT or No TPT Required, when submitted, then routing is unchanged from today.
Business Rules / Validations
- Referred to: mandatory, single selection.
- Remarks: optional.
- Routing rules for Follow Up Status are unchanged except for the label.
Dependencies
STOP-505(Closed): screening-status gating that opens this form.STOP-394(Closed): Contact Follow-Up / TPT Follow-Up button behaviour.- Confirmed TB Cases module: receives records marked Recommend for ATT Treatment.
Impact / Affected Areas
Contact Follow-Up form, household contact cards, routing to TPT Follow up and Confirmed TB Cases, existing referral records, any referral report.
QA / Testing Considerations
- Test both Counsellor and Surveillance Officer roles (PRD enables the follow-up button for both).
- Confirm routing for all three Follow Up Status values.
- Open contacts referred before the change (TU/DH/CHC/PHC, DOTS) and confirm they display correctly.
