STOP TB Sprint 11
Background / Context
Treatment completion and outcomes were built under STOP-42 (Closed, 2.0). PRD v186 replaces the outcome list and adds a Remarks field.
Problem Statement
The outcome list in the app does not match the outcomes the programme now records, and there is nowhere to add a remark.
Current Behaviour
- TB Treatment Outcomes dropdown: Cured / Failed / Lost to Follow-up / Death.
- Outcome = Death sets Beneficiary Status = Death and enables Date of Death, Place of Death and Reason for Death.
- No Remarks field.

User Story
As a Counselling Officer, I want to record the treatment outcome from the programme's current list and add a remark, so that each closed case is reported with the correct outcome.
Acceptance Criteria
- Given the Treatment Completion section, when TB Treatment Outcomes opens, then it lists exactly the 7 PRD options and allows one selection.
- Given outcome = Died, when selected, then Date of Death, Place of Death and Reason for Death are enabled.
- Given outcome = Died, when the record is submitted, then Beneficiary Status is set to Death.
- Given any outcome other than Died, when selected, then the death fields stay disabled.
- Given the Remarks field, when left blank, then the form still submits.
- Given the Remarks field, when text is entered, then the character limit agreed in open question 4 is enforced.
Business Rules / Validations
- Date of Death, Place of Death, Reason for Death keep their existing validations (mandatory if enabled, not a future date, Reason pre-filled as "Tuberculosis").
- Remarks: optional.
Dependencies
- Beneficiary record: Status = Death update.
Impact / Affected Areas
Confirmed TB treatment completion form, beneficiary status, existing outcome records, any report that counts outcomes.
QA / Testing Considerations
- Test each of the 7 outcomes, including that only Died enables the death fields.
- Confirm Beneficiary Status changes to Death only for Died.
- Open cases closed under the old outcome values and confirm they display correctly.
