STOP TB Sprint 10
What to build
When a beneficiary search returns more than one record with the same name, show the records side by side on a card so the Registration Officer can pick the correct person before proceeding.
Where
Beneficiary search (before Beneficiary Registration / Family Member Registration)
What exists today
Village-first search with option to expand to Block level is covered in STOP-432 and STOP-563. Showing matching records side by side is not built.
Requirement (as per PRD)
"When search returns multiple records with identical names, the system must display a card showing Name + Age + Gender + Village + HoF (Head of Family) / Father's + Mother's Name side-by-side, allowing the Registration Officer to confirm the correct match before proceeding."
- If HoF detail is present → show HoF name on the card instead of parents' names.
- If HoF is not present → show Father's / Mother's name.
Fields to show on each card:
| Field | Shown when |
|---|---|
| Name | Always |
| Age | Always |
| Gender | Always |
| Village | Always |
| HoF Name | If HoF detail is present |
| Father's Name + Mother's Name | If HoF detail is not present |
Checks
- Given two or more records with the same name, when I search, then each record is shown on a card with Name, Age, Gender and Village.
- Given a record has HoF detail, then the card shows the HoF name and not the parents' names.
- Given a record has no HoF detail, then the card shows Father's and Mother's names.
- Given the cards are shown, when I select one, then I proceed with that record only.
- Given only one record matches, then the current search flow is unchanged.
Questions to confirm
- Is "identical names" an exact match of first + last name, or should similar spellings also be grouped?
