As a Community Health Officer (CHO) I want to record and manage referrals on the prescription screen so that individuals requiring care beyond HWC-level interventions are appropriately referred.

      Acceptance Criteria

      • Referral Management section is available on the prescription screen.
      • “Referral required” is captured as a Yes / No selection.
      • If “Referral required” is set to Yes, the following fields become mandatory:
        • Referral level
        • Reason for referral
      • Referral level options include:
        • PHC
        • DMHP
        • De-addiction centre
      • Reason for referral options include:
        • Alcohol dependence suspected
        • Withdrawal symptoms
        • Medical complications
      • Referral date is system-generated automatically and is read-only.
      • The system auto-suggests referral when any of the following are present:
        • Functional impairment identified during screening
        • Withdrawal symptoms suspected
        • CHO assesses need beyond brief or psychosocial intervention
      • CHO can accept or decline the auto-suggested referral by selecting “Referral required”.
      • The user cannot proceed further if mandatory referral fields are incomplete when referral is required.
      • Clear validation messages are displayed for missing or incomplete referral details.
