HWC Sprint 18, HWC Sprint 19
As a Community Health Officer (CHO) I want to screen individuals for tobacco use so that current tobacco use can be identified and brief counselling can be provided when required.
Acceptance Criteria
- Tobacco Use Identification section is available within Substance Use Screening.
- “Current tobacco use” is a mandatory field.
- If “Current tobacco use” is set to Yes, the following fields become mandatory:
-
- Type of tobacco use
- Frequency of tobacco use
- Type of tobacco use options include:
-
- Smoking
- Smokeless
- Both
- Frequency of tobacco use options include:
-
- Occasional
- Daily
- Tobacco use outcome is automatically derived as:
-
- Use identified when current tobacco use = Yes
- No use identified when current tobacco use = No
- Tobacco use outcome is system-generated and read-only.
- When tobacco use is identified, the system enables Brief Counselling.
- When no tobacco use is identified, the system enables Close Screening.
- No diagnosis of tobacco dependence is recorded at the HWC level.
- No pharmacological treatment can be initiated by the CHO.
- Referral is not auto-generated and is only allowed if the CHO clinically assesses complications or dependence.
- The screening cannot be submitted if mandatory or conditionally mandatory fields are incomplete.
- Appropriate validation messages are displayed for missing required fields.
