Under Maternal Health → ANC Visits → Add New Visit, once the ASHA enters the Date of Visit, the application currently auto-calculates and displays the Weeks of Pregnancy.
To support ASHAs in accurately determining the appropriate doseage of few medicines the application should additionally calculate and display the Days of Pregnancy. **
Current Behavior
- Date of Visit is entered.
- Weeks of Pregnancy is auto-calculated and displayed.
Expected Behavior
- Along with Weeks of Pregnancy, display the corresponding Days of Pregnancy.
- Days should be auto-calculated using the formula:
Days of Pregnancy = Weeks of Pregnancy × 7
Examples:
-
- 20 Weeks → 140 Days
- 32 Weeks → 224 Days
UI Requirement
- Reduce the width of the existing Weeks of Pregnancy field.
- Introduce a new read-only field adjacent to it named "Days of Pregnancy".
- The Days of Pregnancy field should be automatically populated and updated whenever the Weeks of Pregnancy value changes.
- This field is for display purposes only.
Data Storage Requirement
- No backend changes required.
- No database field creation required.
- Days of Pregnancy should not be stored or synced.
- Value should be calculated dynamically on the device/UI layer and displayed to the user.
Acceptance Criteria
- When Date of Visit is entered, Weeks of Pregnancy is auto-calculated as per existing logic.
- Days of Pregnancy is automatically calculated and displayed using the formula:
Days = Weeks × 7
- Days of Pregnancy updates automatically whenever Weeks of Pregnancy changes.
- Days of Pregnancy is displayed in a separate read-only field adjacent to Weeks of Pregnancy.
- Days of Pregnancy is not stored in the local database or server.
- Existing ANC visit creation workflow remains unaffected.
- Field is visible across all supported languages and device screen sizes.
